By combining a very lightweight aerospace-grade aluminium alloy 7001 on the upper segment with a very strong aluminium alloy 7075 on the lower telescopic segments and Twist Lock screw locks, the Pinguin Light TL Foam achieves an unbeatable weight of just 190 g per pole.

The length of the poles can be easily, quickly and safely adjusted using two Twist Lock screw locks in the range 66 to 136 cm. Grooves on the lower segments of the poles also contribute to easy adjustment. Adjustable wrist loops also contribute to greater comfort and safety when using the poles.

The segments are colour anodised. Thanks to this surface treatment, the aluminium is mechanically resistant to abrasion and has increased resistance to weather. The extended handles of the poles are made from non-absorbent, slip-resistant and vibration-absorbing EVA foam. It is precisely the length of the handles that defines the poles as four-season, thanks to the possibility of changing grip position when traversing whilst maintaining a comfortable and safe grip. The tips are made from durable tungsten carbide and the poles include rubber tip covers that eliminate vibrations and unwanted movement on hard surfaces.

The poles are supplied with a pair of trekking poles and a pair of snow baskets.
