Sheepsfoot blade – the Sheepsfoot blade is characterised by an unusual shape. It is a single-edged blade with a straight edge and a straight blunt tip that tapers to a point at the front. Comfortable handle – Micarta – This type of material used for the handle is characterised by lightness, hardness, and above all resistance to scratching. Micarta is a very smooth material to the touch that fits comfortably in anyone's hand. It is made by laminating, then baking and pressing under high pressure and at high temperatures. German D2 steel for the blade is one of the most popular tool steels with a high carbon and chromium content. Its relatively high wear resistance combined with good hardness and toughness has led to its widespread use in knife manufacture. D2 steel is much harder (HRC 57-61) than other steels in this category, and therefore holds an edge better. However, higher hardness is also associated with greater difficulty when sharpening the blade. The steel is often referred to as "semi" stainless because it does not reach the required chromium content to be considered stainless steel. Nevertheless, it provides good corrosion resistance. The knife comes with a Kydex sheath.
