Tanto blade – Tanto point is a type of blade that has its roots in Japan. It is a single-edged blade with a straight spine and edge. The blade tip is positioned at the level of the spine or slightly below it, with the spine tapering towards the tip. Comfortable handle – An ergonomic handle made from carbon fibre provides a firm grip on the knife, as well as low weight. Carbon fibre/G10 is known for its high strength, low moisture absorption and excellent durability. G10 material is very popular in the manufacture of weapon handles due to its grip and slip resistance. Construction – The lock mechanism is resistant to contamination and prevents accidental closure of the knife. The knife closes extremely smoothly thanks to a ceramic ball bearing. Böhler M390 Microclean is a powder surface-treated steel that was developed to have high hardness, good corrosion resistance and, above all, excellent wear resistance. Another feature is easy sharpening and polishing to achieve a high blade shine. The steel can be hardened to a hardness of 60 to 62 HRC. M390 is, as mentioned, a powder steel, which means its structure is much finer than other types of steel. Due to this fineness, the steel gains high toughness, resistance to chipping and other excellent properties. Designer Max Tkachuk – Kubey Drake comes from Kubey, a company that partnered with knife designer Max Tkachuk in creating this knife. Max, a Ukrainian graphic and industrial designer, has been fascinated by knives since childhood, a passion he pursues to this day. He brings his life experiences into his creations, which is why they are truly unique. His work is guided by the principle of "less is more".
