An expedition tent that can take a winter. Husky Fighter 3-4 from the Extreme range is a free-standing double-wall tent with an external aluminium frame, snow skirts and a 7,000 mm H₂O water column. It sleeps three, or four at a push, and is built for demanding expeditions, high-mountain hiking and trekking in any season.

Pitching in rain and wind without soaking the bedroom

The 8.5 mm aluminium poles are threaded from the outside, so the tent goes up as a single unit and the inner bedroom stays dry even when you pitch it in heavy rain. Lightweight aluminium pegs anchor it in strong wind, and snow skirts around the perimeter can be weighed down with snow or stones where pegs cannot be used. Handling is simple and quick even with gloves on.

Ripstop polyester with a 7,000 mm water column

The 210T ripstop polyester flysheet has a polyurethane coating with a 7,000 mm H₂O water column and taped seams; the ripstop grid stops any tear before it spreads. The breathable polyamide inner tent with mosquito mesh carries moisture and condensation away, and the polyester groundsheet with a PU coating has an 11,000 mm H₂O water column. The fabric has enhanced UV protection.

Pros and cons of the Husky Fighter 3-4

✓ Pros: a high 7,000 mm water column with taped seams, snow skirts for winter use, pitching from the outside without soaking the bedroom, quick handling even in bad weather, room for 3 – 4 people, complete accessories in the package.

✗ Cons: a weight of 4.8 kg is above the ultralight bracket, a packed size of 55 × 17 cm takes up rucksack space, the 130 cm height does not let you stand up, and it is unnecessarily large for summer trips in a pair.
