A weekend tent with two entrances. Husky Burton 2-3 from the Outdoor range is a free-standing double-wall tent with an internal durawrap frame that gives two travellers plenty of comfort — and at a push a third can sleep in it too. It is built for shorter bike trips, easy hiking and relaxed camping.

A third pole for extra stability

The basic two-pole frame is joined by a third pole supplied in the package — the flysheet stays taut even where two-pole tents start to move in the wind. The 8.5 mm durawrap poles are flexible and, unlike fibreglass, do not splinter into sharp ends that could damage the fabric if they break. A steel peg set anchors the tent reliably.

Two entrances and taped seams

Entrances on both sides mean a way in for each of you and better through-ventilation on hot days. The 185T polyester flysheet has a polyurethane coating with a 4,000 mm H₂O water column and taped seams, the breathable 190T nylon inner tent with mosquito mesh keeps air moving, and the 190T polyester groundsheet has a 7,000 mm H₂O water column. The fabric has enhanced UV protection.

✗ Cons: the 4,000 mm water column is lower than in the trekking ranges, a weight of 4.1 kg is high for a two-person tent, the steel pegs are heavier than aluminium ones, and the 115 cm height does not let you stand up.
