Three crossed poles that even strong wind cannot unsettle. Husky Bronder 2 from the Extreme Lite range is a free-standing double-wall tent with an external aluminium frame, a spacious vestibule with a solid floor and a unique bedroom ventilation system. It is built for trekking, ordinary hiking and camping in a pair.

A frame of three crossed poles

Three 8.5 mm aluminium poles cross in a way that keeps the flysheet taut from every side — and that is exactly where the tent's stability in strong wind comes from. The poles are threaded from the outside, so the tent goes up as a single unit and the bedroom stays dry even when you pitch it in the rain. The vestibule with its solid floor takes rucksacks and wet gear.

Bedroom ventilation and a 6,000 mm water column

The bedroom ventilation system draws warm air out even on hot summer days, so you can sleep in the tent through a heatwave. The 210T ripstop polyester flysheet has a polyurethane coating with a 6,000 mm H₂O water column and taped seams, the breathable 190T nylon inner tent with mosquito mesh keeps air moving, and the 190T polyester groundsheet has a 10,000 mm H₂O water column.

Pros and cons of the Husky Bronder 2

✓ Pros: exceptional stability thanks to three crossed poles, a vestibule with a solid floor, bedroom ventilation for hot days, pitching from the outside without soaking the bedroom, taped seams.

✗ Cons: three poles mean more weight and longer pitching than two-pole tents, the 150 cm width is tight for two adults, the 130 cm height does not let you stand up, a packed size of 50 × 15 cm.

How it compares with related models

Husky Bronder 3 and Husky Bronder 4 are the larger versions of the same design. Husky Bret 2 is 0.4 kg lighter, but without a vestibule with a floor and less stable. Husky Brofur 3 has a detachable bedroom and more room.

Who is the Husky Bronder 2 for?

For pairs trekking, hiking and camping who also go out in windy weather and want a tent they can rely on. If you need more room, choose the Bronder 3 or Bronder 4.
