A compact way to organize your EDC

Helikon-Tex designed the Rat for carrying the things you need most. Its compact form lets you organize your EDC without excess bulk, and the stable mounting means the pack does not shift while you move. You get fast access to your gear, which supports your mobility. It works as an EDC organizer or as a discreet tactical waist pack for carrying a weapon out of sight without drawing attention.

Construction resistant to intensive use

The bag withstands frequent packing, the transport of heavy gear and contact with the ground. Helikon-Tex made it from Cordura® 500D, which increases resistance to abrasion and damage. The material is coated with DWR, which limits absorption and makes cleaning easier. It also used YKK® zippers and Woojin® components, which work reliably under heavy loads and in changing temperatures.

Main compartment

The two-way zipper gives quick access to the contents from both sides and makes opening the pack on the move easier.

Non-slip grips

Two grips improve control while opening and make reaching for your gear faster.

Soft loop panel on the walls

It is compatible with VIS inserts, for example the Pistol Holder Insert, so you adapt the configuration to your own needs.

Small flat pocket

It helps you keep small items in order and reach them quickly without opening the main compartment.

Larger pocket

Closed with a two-way zipper, it lets you lay out your gear stably and clip in further inserts.

Rigid, detachable panel

A panel with openings and an elastic cord holds gear in a fixed position. You can keep it clipped inside the pack or use it separately, for example as a configured medical module.
