The Matilda is a bushcraft backpack prepared for multi-day trips into the field.
A construction resistant to intensive use
It withstands frequent packing, transport of gear and contact with the ground. Helikon-Tex sewed the product from Cordura® 500D, which increases resistance to abrasion and damage. The material is covered with a DWR finish, which limits soaking and makes cleaning easier. It also used YKK® zippers and Woojin® components, which work reliably even under heavy load and in changing temperatures.
A comfortable carrying system stabilizes the load
The backpack got adjustable, shaped, quick-release straps that you fit comfortably to your body. The hip belt transfers part of the weight to the hips, and the chest strap stabilizes the backpack while marching. The back panel of foam covered with spacer mesh improves ventilation and increases comfort during longer wear.
The inside of the backpack allows flexible organization of gear.
A roomy main compartment
It holds the gear you need for a multi-day trip into the field.
A mesh pocket under the lid
The zippered pocket lets you store small pieces of gear.
MOLLE/PALS webbing inside the compartment
It lets you organize the inside of the backpack by attaching extra pockets, organizers or a first-aid kit.
Space for a hydration bladder
A dedicated pocket lets you use a hydration system while marching.
Pockets and straps make carrying bushcraft gear easier.
Three large external pockets
They close with buckles and have drawcords and grommets, so you can carry tools such as an axe in them.

The design of the Matilda backpack draws on the ALICE system (All-Purpose Lightweight Individual Carrying Equipment), introduced by the US Army in the 1970s.
The Matilda took over the characteristic pocket layout and the modularity of that system, but it has been slimmed down and adapted to the needs of bushcraft and civilian users. The result is a backpack that combines classic solutions with the function needed on present-day trips into the field.
The backpack has an extra hook-and-loop panel for personalization.
