A construction built for intensive use
It withstands frequent packing, the transport of equipment and contact with the ground. We sewed the backpack from Cordura® 500D, which increases resistance to abrasion and damage. The fabric has a DWR finish, so it absorbs less water and is easier to clean. We also used YKK® zippers and Woojin® components, which work reliably under heavy load and in changing temperatures.
We equipped the Ambush backpack with a stable carrying system.
Adjustable quick-release straps
They let you fit the backpack to your build and to your layers of clothing.
A sternum strap
It stabilises the load on the move.
A removable hip belt
It improves weight distribution with a heavier load.
Functional organisation of space and quick access to the essentials.
A top pocket with velour lining
It is lined with a soft material — for carrying optics or a night-vision device safely.
A lower front pocket
With slots for small pieces of equipment.
Side pockets
They take a water supply or magazines.
Tactical solutions that let you extend the backpack and adapt it to the mission.
MOLLE/PALS-compatible webbing
It sits above the side pockets and allows further magazine pouches, cargo pockets or medical modules to be mounted.
Beavertail (compression panel)
Use it to carry a helmet, a camouflage net or extra clothing. When you do not need it, roll it up and stow it in the flat lower compartment.
Room for a hydration bladder
It is in the main compartment — an internal space prepared for a hydration system.
The backpack is part of the modular Helikon-Tex Guardian system
The Guardian system covers a soldier's complete kit — from the belt through plate carriers and chest rigs to backpacks. All the elements are MOLLE/PALS compatible, so you can configure and expand your kit exactly for the task at hand. The individual elements of the system are also compatible with the Helikon-Tex VIS (Versatile Insert System) and Competition insert systems.
The backpack also has a hook-and-loop panel for personalisation.
