Rechargeable pocket torch Fenix E35R offers a light output of up to 3100 lumens (ANSI) and a beam distance of up to 260 metres. Excellent performance has been achieved through the use of a modern LED Luminus SST-70. Power is supplied by a high-capacity Li-ion rechargeable battery type 21700 with a capacity of 5000 mAh. Charging takes place via a USB-C connector on the side of the torch. The E35R replaces the popular E35 V3.0 torch, but additionally features a built-in charging connector and a magnetic tail cap. The torch has been designed with simplicity of operation and broad usability in mind. Six light modes allow you to choose between high power and runtime of more than two and a half days. A blinding strobe is also available for emergency situations. The Fenix E35R is powered by digitally regulated constant current to ensure consistent light output even as battery voltage decreases (during gradual discharge). The torch is equipped with an ultra-thin collimator, which is manufactured using automotive industry technologies. Switching on and changing modes is performed by a button ergonomically positioned on the side. The magnet in the tail cap is practical – the torch can be attached to ferrous objects.

Use of the Fenix E35R work torch

From the factory there may be an insulating cover inside the torch on the rechargeable battery. Remove it from the battery before first use.

To switch on or off, hold the side button for approximately 0.5 seconds; the torch will always switch on in the last selected mode except for the two highest modes (turbo and high). You can switch power modes at any time during operation by pressing the side button. The strobe can be activated by holding the button for 1.2 seconds (the torch must be on). When you release the button, the strobe switches off.

Charging - flip open the rubber cover of the charging connector on the side of the torch and connect the supplied cable (USB-C connector); connect the other end of the cable to a computer, mains USB adapter or car USB adapter. During charging, the indicator LED glows red. When fully charged, it turns green. Charging a fully discharged battery takes approximately 3 hours (with a 2A power source). During charging, the 30, 150 and 350 lumen modes can be used.

Intelligent overheat protection - If the temperature exceeds 60°C, the power will automatically reduce. Once the temperature drops below 60°C, you can use the highest power again.

Battery charge status indicator - after a short press of the button (the torch must be off), the LED indicator in the button activates. If the indicator diode glows green, the battery is charged to more than 85%. Green flashing means 50-85% capacity. If it glows red, it is charged to 25-50%. Red flashing indicates that less than 25% of the battery capacity remains.

Button lock - to prevent accidental switching on of the torch in luggage, press the button twice quickly within 0.5 seconds (the torch must be off); the torch will then flash twice in low mode and cannot be switched on. To unlock, press the button twice quickly again. Accidental switching on can also be prevented by loosening the torch body.

Low battery warning - the side button will start flashing red and the torch will gradually automatically switch to the lowest mode.

Warning

• Do not disassemble the sealed part in the torch head yourself, as this will void the warranty.
• Use only quality Li-ion rechargeable batteries 21700 to prevent damage to the torch, for example due to leakage from the battery.
• If the protective rubber rings appear damaged after prolonged use, replace them. The rings should also be lubricated to prevent rubber erosion. By following these rules, the torch will be properly protected against water.
• If the torch is flashing, not switching to higher power, or not lighting up, it may be due to one of the following reasons:
  • The rechargeable battery is discharged, charge it.
  • The contacts inside the torch are dirty – clean them with a cotton bud soaked in alcohol.
  • The torch body is loose, tighten it.
