When shooting, you need to protect your hearing from gunfire while still hearing commands, conversation and what is happening around you. The Earmor M31 PLUS are electronic hearing protection earmuffs that limit harmful impulse noise to a safe 82 dB and amplify quiet sounds. With the volume set right, you can hear your surroundings even better than without hearing protection. The PLUS version, 2024 model, comes with new silicone gel ear cushions that are more comfortable for all-day wear.
Directional microphones and protection when shooting
Two directional microphones on the ear cups pick up ambient sounds, and speakers inside the cups play them back, so you can tell which direction a sound is coming from. Dynamic voice tracking improves speech clarity, and the enhanced resistance to radio interference is a real advantage when working near radios. The low-profile ear cups stay out of the way when you shoulder your firearm. You can connect your phone or a music player via the 3.5 mm input; the cable is included.
MOD 3 improvements
The button responds with a 3-second delay, so you will not switch the earmuffs off by accident. The battery compartment has a metal cover with a new thread that unscrews easily, plus silicone straps so the covers do not get lost. After 4 hours without use, the earmuffs switch off automatically, and two AAA batteries last approximately 350 hours.
