Cold Steel Tokyo Spike knives in the Spike range are slender, lightweight and extremely tough. The knife design was developed in collaboration with Cold Steel by knifemaker Barry Dawson of Dawson Knives. Spikes are designed as knives for concealed carry, primarily for neck carry. Their sharp and slender blades are complemented by a handle with deep shaping and texture for a secure grip. These ergonomic Spike handles are additionally finished with a shaped small guard in front of the blade, which allows the thumb to be braced against the index finger whilst you attempt to generate force for a deep cut. The distinctly shaped Griva-Ex handle provides a non-slip surface, even when your hands are cold, wet and slippery. The knife blade is made from German 4110, a fine-grained stainless steel from ThyssenKrupp (Germany), which is commonly used in the pharmaceutical industry and kitchen tools. The carbon and chromium content is balanced for excellent corrosion resistance and strength. The edge made from this steel can be sharpened well and is therefore suitable for bushcraft and outdoor knives. The G-10 handle has a fine texture on its surface, roughened for better and safer grip. Its shape with deep shaping, texture and finger recesses ensures that the knife will not slip from your hand in any situation, and also allows sufficient force to be applied for cutting. The knife comes with a Secure-Ex sheath for your protection and blade protection, and a safety neck chain.
