Recon Hawk or Demko Hawk is a new tactical tomahawk. As the name suggests, it is a tomahawk by Andrew Demko. Its predecessor, Trach Hawk, has become widespread in the armed forces of many countries as a hand weapon for man-to-man combat or is used by soldiers for tactical entry into buildings. Unlike its predecessor, Recon has a full-tang construction, where the combat head of the tomahawk is made from one piece with the spike and runs along the entire length of the handle. 65Mn steel is Chinese spring steel that provides good wear resistance and toughness. It can be compared to 1065 steel. It has a medium carbon content of 0.62 - 0.70% and a high manganese content of 0.90 - 1.20%. These improve toughness, elasticity and support the properties of steel when working at high temperature, making it a good choice for forging sword blades. It also contains a small amount of 0.17 - 0.37% silicon. The handle is constructed by bolting large pieces of high-strength nylon to the metal body of the tomahawk. The package also includes a Secure-Ex® security holster.
