The Jack throwing knife from COLD STEEL is named after Jack Dagger, the world's most renowned knife thrower (http://www.jackdagger.com/). Jack has travelled the world with his performances and achieved enormous success everywhere, contributing to raising awareness of this art. We are proud to have named one of our knives after Jack. The blade of the knife is made from 1050 carbon steel. This is a tool carbon steel with 0.55% carbon, 0.6 to 0.9% manganese and other alloys. The hardness of the steel is 60 to 64 HRC. Due to the carbon content and low alloy content, this shallow-hardened steel is a very strong material that is not prone to brittleness, which is otherwise typical of steels with higher carbon content. It is suitable for the manufacture of blades subjected to stress and impact, such as large solid knives and swords.
