This Hudson Bay camping axe is a direct reference to the classic axe that has been used for centuries in the vast forests and wetlands of north-eastern Canada. Thanks to its versatility and effectiveness, the Hudson Bay axe became indispensable for anyone trying to live in the wilderness. COLD STEEL is a great admirer of this famous axe design, and so decided to return to it and include it in its range. The axe head is forged from 1050 carbon steel and offers a 105 mm long blade in the classic shape of a chopping axe. The head is hardened on the blade, so you can safely drive a nail with the axe. It is very advantageous that the head is removable and is attached to the handle using a clamp with two hex screws. This makes it possible to replace a damaged handle in less than two minutes. Moreover, if you happen to be in the wilderness, you can in an emergency use a spare improvised handle made from almost any available piece of wood. The axe comes with a hard, shaped handle made from white American hickory. The axe is ready for the forest and in an emergency will certainly prove itself as a devastatingly effective weapon.
