The Balicki Escrima Trainer is a training baton designed for practising stick fighting in one-on-one combat. It is made from high-strength, flexible and cushioned polypropylene. This means that during combat there are far fewer devastating injuries than with other rigid batons. However, you can also use the Balicki Escrima Trainer for self-defence if you only want to incapacitate your opponent and do not wish to resort to excessive force. Guru Ron Balicki has been working with Cold Steel for some time and his contribution to the product range is invaluable. Ron Balicki is known throughout the world as an instructor in Filipino martial arts, Thai boxing, Jeet Kune Do, knife fighting and MMA. He is also the founder and head instructor of MARS (Martial Arts Research Systems). That is why we are proud to present his favourite baton, the Balicki Stick. It is thinner, shorter and considerably lighter than our standard Escrima baton. This new Ron baton prioritises speed, simplicity and precise weapon control.
