BEAL Escaper is a patented specialist device that provides the simplest method of safe and rapid abseiling down a wall on a single rope strand. The entire system is based on a prusik, which holds the end of the Escaper rope firmly under load (abseiling). After abseiling, simply pull the rope hard 8 to 12 times and release it completely, and the prusik will begin to release until the rope end passes through the abseiling eye (knot) and falls towards you with the rope end tied on. BEAL Escaper is a certified modification of the method used in practice by a small group of climbers during forced rapid retreat from a mountain. It takes up almost no space, weighs almost nothing and all parts are visually easy to check. The correct securing procedure is perfectly illustrated directly on the durable textile pouch in which the Escaper is supplied. Escaper can be combined with all types of rope from 7.3 mm diameter (BEAL Gully).
