• Stichfrei Kids is a special insect repellent for children and all people with particularly sensitive skin. The insect repellent is contained in a gentle skincare cream and protects against insects such as mosquitoes, ticks and biting flies. Like classic Stichfrei, Stichfrei Kids has also received a "very good" rating in Dermatest. Stichfrei cream provides reliable protection against insect bites for up to 8 hours, has a pleasant scent and is also suitable for pregnant women.
• Insect repellent for children and infants must meet high requirements. If you want to protect small children from sometimes dangerous, but always very unpleasant insect bites with an insect repellent, the product must meet much higher requirements than for adults.
• Stichfrei Kids is suitable for children from 2 months old and meets the requirements placed on such insect repellents. Dermatest rated Stichfrei Kids as "very good".
• Some substances can be particularly dangerous for small children and should therefore be avoided in manufacture:
• Solvents, alcohols and cooling agents such as peppermint and menthol can lead to hypothermia much more quickly in smaller individuals than in adults. This can disrupt the blood-brain barrier, which can subsequently lead to hallucinations. These substances also cause severe burning in the eyes and on mucous membranes. Essential oils can have an allergenic potential in children and trigger airway obstruction. Preservatives can cause dermatological problems. DEET is suspected of having a carcinogenic effect.
